Compost Mix
Description coming soon :)
Bed Mix Soil
Our Bed Mix Soil is a premium planting mix designed for the Gulf Coast climate, where heavy rainfall requires soils that balance moisture retention and proper drainage. This blend combines screened topsoil, coarse and fine sands, and locally sourced compost to create a nutrient-rich foundation for healthy plant growth.
Ideal for raised beds, commercial and residential flowerbeds, seasonal color, ornamental shrubs, and small trees, Bed Mix Soil is perfect for new plant installations or improving existing garden beds.
For best results, we recommend using a fertilizer program suited to the specific plants being grown.
Premium Mix
Our Premium Bed Mix is our highest-quality soil blend, designed for raised beds, shrubs, and small tree plantings. This premium mix combines screened topsoil, coarse washed sand, two types of nutrient-rich compost, and aged pine bark to create a balanced soil that supports strong root development and healthy plant growth.
The addition of coarse sand and pine bark flakes improves drainage and airflow while helping the soil retain moisture where plants need it most. These mechanical properties make Premium Bed Mix ideal for deeper plantings, taller raised beds, and landscaping projects where proper drainage and moisture balance are critical.
Often used for new garden beds or to revitalize struggling landscapes, this blend works as both a planting soil and a soil conditioner. As with all soil mixes, we recommend following a fertilization and amendment program tailored to the specific plants being grown.
Screened Top Soil
Our Screened Topsoil is a locally sourced sandy loam soil harvested from the northwest region and carefully processed to ensure consistent quality. During production, the top layer containing vegetation and seeds is removed, and the soil is excavated from approximately four inches below the surface. It is then screened through a ½-inch mesh to remove debris and create a smooth, workable soil.
This versatile topsoil is ideal for landscaping projects, garden beds, lawn preparation, grading, and soil improvement. Its balanced sandy loam composition promotes good drainage while still retaining enough moisture to support healthy plant growth.
Screened Topsoil also serves as a base ingredient in several of our premium soil blends, including our Enriched Yard Mix, Premium Bed Mix, and Bed Mix, as well as custom soil mixes prepared to meet specific customer needs.
Enriched Yard Mix
Our Enriched Yard Mix is a specially prepared soil designed for top dressing, final grading, sod preparation, and lawn finishing applications. This proven blend is widely used by landscapers and contractors for establishing healthy turf, preparing sod areas, and improving root zone performance.
The mix combines screened sand, quality topsoil, and finely ground rice hull compost to create a soil that promotes excellent moisture retention while maintaining proper soil structure and drainage. The rice hull component helps retain moisture within the shallow turf root zone, which is critical for successful grass establishment and consistent lawn growth.
Ideal for new lawn installations, sod preparation, and turf conditioning, Enriched Yard Mix provides a smooth, workable soil surface for landscaping projects.
Rice Hull Compost
Our Rice Hull Compost is a natural soil amendment made from the husks of rice kernels. While often called a compost, rice hulls are composed primarily of silica, meaning they do not break down like traditional organic materials and instead provide long-lasting structural benefits in soil.
Because rice hulls decompose very slowly, they help maintain soil aeration, moisture retention, and soil tilth (loose, fluffy soil structure) over time. This makes them an excellent component in raised bed soils, landscaping mixes, garden beds, and potting blends.
Rice hull compost is commonly used as a natural soil aerator and moisture-balancing ingredient, helping improve root health and overall plant growth while maintaining soil structure for years.
Veggie Mix
Our Veggie Compost is a locally sourced soil amendment made primarily from vegetable-based organic waste, providing a natural and consistent source of nitrogen for composting. This nutrient-rich compost helps balance carbon-heavy green waste streams commonly found in the Gulf Coast region, creating a high-quality organic soil conditioner.
Vegetable materials have long been used in composting to introduce essential nutrients and promote microbial activity. The result is a stable, reliable compost that improves soil fertility, structure, and moisture retention. Because it is produced from a consistent commercial-scale composting process, Veggie Compost delivers dependable quality year after year.
Ideal for garden beds, landscaping soils, raised beds, and soil blends, Veggie Compost enhances soil health and supports strong plant growth. It is also incorporated into several of our premium soil mixes to provide additional organic matter and nutrients.
